Wikipedia, the students best friend, or enemy? The validity of Wikipedia is in question by many of the schools in America. The major dilemma is whether it should be an accepted source in crediting your research. Some say since anyone is capable of editing the information available on Wikipedia, it is not secure enough to base a research paper off of, but it is a place to begin your research and venture into the references it supplies you with.

  1. What skills do you think a student has to have to be able to use Wikipedia as a starting point for research? How will a student know whether or not the references in a Wikipedia article are any good or not?
